An EMD–PSO–LSSVM Hybrid Model for Significant Wave Height Prediction

چکیده
The accurate prediction of significant wave height (SWH) offers major safety improvements for coastal and ocean engineering applications. However, the phenomenon is nonlinear nonstationary, which makes any work a non-straightforward task. aim research presented in this paper to improve predicted via hybrid algorithm. Firstly, an empirical mode decomposition (EMD) used preprocess data, are decomposed into several elementary signals. Then, least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) with learning ability adopted predict SWH, particle swarm optimization (PSO) automatically performs parameter selection LSSVM modeling. results show that EMD–PSO–LSSVM model can compensate lag timing models. Furthermore, performance has been greatly improved deep-sea area; accuracy coefficient determination (R2) increases from 0.991, 0.982, 0.959 0.993, 0.987, 0.965, respectively. proposed better than EMD–LSSVM Therefore, provides valuable solution SWH.

Error Analysis on ESA's Envisat ASAR Wave Mode Significant Wave Height Retrievals Using Triple Collocation Model
Nowadays, spaceborne Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) has become a powerful tool for providing significant wave height (SWH). Traditionally, validation of SAR derived SWH has been carried out against buoy measurements or model outputs, which only yield an inter-comparison, but not an “absolute” validation. In this study, the triple collocation error model has been introduced in the validation of ...
متن کاملSpace-time models for moving fields with an application to significant wave height fields
The surface of the ocean, and so such quantities as the significant wave height, Hs, can be thought of as a random surface that develops over time. In this paper, we explore certain types of random fields in space and time, with and without dynamics that may or may not be driven by a physical law, as models for the significant wave height. Reanalysis data is used to estimate the sea-state motio...

Two sources of H113 estimates were available at Platform Harvest; a NOAA buoy and CU depth sensor highrate data. H113 estimates from the NOAA buoy were based on twenty minutes of data every hour, CU pressure measurements were taken every 1.1 seconds. For purposes of this paper, H113 estimates from the (7U depth sensor were based on one hour of data, This paper compares H113 measurements from TO...

Development of a mathematical model to design an offshore wind and wave hybrid energy system
Fossil Fuels are always considered as environmental pollutants. On the other hand, the political and economic situations highly affect the price of these fuels. Offshore wind and wave, as renewable energy sources, represent the better alternatives for electricity generation. Therefore, it is necessary that wind speeds effectively be estimated due to the absence of field measurements of the wind...
